1 no one cares unless autistic,
2 they’ve mostly all been monumented for coordinates as well now and are regularly used by surveyors for such when setting up RTK base.

Bessel 1841 was used before Clarke 1866 was adopted because it was based on observations of triangulation arcs of North America.
