Hrdlicka Auxiliary Field #1
Eight miles North-North-East of Bonham at 33-41-58, 96-07-01. The field was approximately two and one half miles East of Ivanhoe. The field covered 155.35 acres and was leased on August 8th, 1941. It was named for a Bonham mayor. Lessor was B A Keene. Rent was $400.00 a year for the tract beginning on August 8th 1941 and ending on August 8th 1941, with an option to renew the lease at each annual date for a period of ten years provided written notice was given by July 8th of each year. Terms: Lessee may construct any buildings or improvements necessary for operation and maintenance of a flying school. Lessor has the privilege of pasturing this land at his own risk but in no event to interfere with the operation of the land for the purpose for which it is leased. Lessee will sod that portion of the area where the grass is removed and shall level or fill in said ground.

Dickey Auxiliary Field #2
Eight miles North-North-West of Bonham at 33-42, 96-15. The field was approximately three miles North of Ravenna. It covered 145.86 acres and was leased on September 12th, 1941.Lessor was DB Deupree. Rent was $600.00 a year for the tract beginning September 12th, 1941, and ending September 11th, 1942, with an option to renew the lease at each annual date for a period of ten years, provided written noticed is given by August 12th of each year. Terms: Lessee may construct any buildings or improvements necessary for operation and maintenance of a flying school. Lessee is to maintain outer fences in good condition. Lessee agrees to remove all buildings and foundations within 30 days after termination of lease. Lessor has the privilege of pasturing this land at his own risk but in no event to interfere with the operation of the land for the purpose for which it is leased.

Cravens Auxiliary Field #3
Twenty miles North-North-East of Bonham at 33-50, 95-59. The field was approximately four miles North of Telephone. It covered 256.40 acres and was leased on May 1st, 1942. It was named for the lessor, Lula Mae Cravens. Rental: $7.00 per acre per annum. Lease began on May 1st 1942 and ends December 31st 1943. Option granted to renew lease from year to year for a period of fifteen years from December 31st 1943, provided lessee gives written notice of its intention to renew said lease on or before November 1st. Terms: Lessee may construct and build improvements necessary to the maintenance and operation of a general aviation or flying school or a subsidiary field. Such improvements to be removed within six months after termination of lease. Lessee shall at its own expense provide and maintain any and all fences necessary to its use and shall have the right to plant cover crops except Bermuda and Johnson grasses. Lessee shall compensate the present tenants for any loss or damage suffered by them by reason of the lease and for loss of crops in 1942.

Brown Field
Eight miles North of Bonham at 33-41-25, 96-10-35. Brown field was more developed than the other auxiliaries, having 2 hangars and a 1500’ x 150’ asphalt ramp on its 293.88 acres. A first parcel was leased on 1 Jan 1942; other parcels were leased on 15 May 1942. It started operations on 25 Aug 1942, and closed 15 Oct 1944. Lessors: John Agnew, JB Roberts, WW Meadows and LH Kueckelhan. Terms: All leases grant lessee the right to construct and build improvements necessary to the maintenance and operation of a flying school. Such improvements were to be removed within a reasonable length of time after the termination of the lease. Bermuda grass may not be planted. The lessee must maintain fences and the lessor has the privilege of pasturing at his own risk, but not to interfere with the operation of the land for the purposes for which it was leased.
