The best part? It takes you on an <strong>adventure<\/strong>, sometimes to the most obscure spots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want access to millions of geocaches worldwide, the easiest way is through <a href=\"http:\/\/geocaching.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">geocaching.com<\/a>. It&#8217;s through this community website that members maintain geocaches. Anyone can hide their own too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only other alternative to geocaching.com that I can recommend is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cgeo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">c:geo<\/a>. Each container has a <strong>prize<\/strong> that you can swap in and out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A geocache usually has a <strong>logbook<\/strong> that you can sign. By using the Geocaching app, you can also write virtual logs about your adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also special &#8220;game pieces&#8221; that are &#8220;trackable&#8221;. These items have extra tracking information. Each one has a long history to them that you can learn how far it has traveled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caches are <strong>meaningful places<\/strong> that someone has <strong>hand-picked<\/strong> to become a hiding spot. First, you&#8217;ll want to start with the easy ones. Once you get a hang of things, you can start searching the harder geocaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you want to locate a geocache, enter its <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/decimal-degrees-dd-minutes-seconds-dms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">geographic coordinates<\/a> in your GPS. Then, it&#8217;s time to go trekking by <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/gps-apps-navigation\/\">using your GPS for navigation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But all <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/gps-accuracy-hdop-pdop-gdop-multipath\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GPS have accuracy issues<\/a> so it won&#8217;t get you to the exact location.
