world, stretching for a total of 39 degrees latitude. If you measure its length from north to south, Chile is 4,620 kilometers long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-17-16-15-font-size\">The country includes several islands in the South Pacific Ocean including <em>San F\u00e9lix<\/em>, <em>San Ambrosio<\/em>, <em>Salas y G\u00f3mez<\/em>, <em>Robinson Crusoe<\/em>, and of course <em>Easter Island<\/em>. Santiago is Chile&#8217;s capital and largest city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, it\u2019s also the southernmost mainland country in the world. Overall, Chile occupies most of the west coast of South America.
