of Africa in the Indian Ocean.  It&#8217;s sandwiched between <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/madagascar-map\/\">Madagascar<\/a> to the east as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/mozambique-map\/\">Mozambique<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gisgeography.com\/tanzania-map\/\">Tanzania<\/a> to the west. Comoros consists of various islets and three main islands \u2013 <em>Ngazidja<\/em> (Grande Comore), <em>Ndzuani<\/em> (Anjouan), and <em>Mwali<\/em> (Moh\u00e9li).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-17-16-15-font-size\">Additionally, it&#8217;s the fourth smallest African nation at only 1,861 square kilometers (719 sq mi) in size. With an estimated population of 850,000, the majority of people live in the capital city of <em>Moroni<\/em>.
